Scholarship and Subsidized Rate registrations

Yes, we offer Scholarship and Subsidized Rate registrations.

These allow community members who cannot afford our standard rates to attend the conference for reduced, nominal, or zero cost.

While there are a significant number of these registrations available, they are finite and require an application.

We are doing our best to balance remaining accessible to a broad community with the practicalities of producing a large, professional-quality conference in New York City.

If you are interested, please read this entire page.

Horizons 2018, Sunday

Who is eligible?

If you are interested and sincerely cannot afford our public rates, we encourage you to apply.

Both of these programs are open to everyone in need — not just students or medical professionals.

We routinely accept people who are new to this field, or have never attended a conference before.

We do prioritize applicants with a clear goal of service to a larger community, which we understand can take many forms.

How do I apply?

After reading this page, read the Pre-Application Guide, which will take about ten minutes.

Then, you will need to write a one-page personal statement. Work on this until you feel great about it. These are very important, and we read and reflect on each and every one.

Once you have your personal statement, you can fill out the application. It should take about ten minutes.
