Horizons 2026 — The Psychedelic Business Forum, Thursday, October 15, 2026, New York Academy of Medicine

Thursday, October 15, 2026

The Psychedelic Business Forum

Briefings and dialogues for entrepreneurs, executives, and funders about the psychedelic industry and ecosystem.

On April 18, 2026, the White House established psychedelic medicine as a national priority. The following week, the FDA committed to a rapid review of New Drug Applications for MDMA and psilocybin. At long last, regulatory approval seems imminent.

Should this come to pass, an elaborate dance of patients, clinicians, indications, treatments, prescribers, drugs, clinics, payers, platforms, and profit and loss will finally debut, following years of dress rehearsals.

Join us as we consider what happens when theory meets practice, and how to build an ecosystem that delivers safe and effective access at scale.

Science, Medicine, and Psychedelics

Updates on psychedelic therapies and neuroscience from leading researchers and institutions.

A growing body of psychedelic clinical trials shows promise for indications whose treatments have progressed little in decades. Meanwhile, neuroscientists continue their quest to decipher the mechanisms of these mysterious molecules and the mind itself.

The FDA is evaluating the results of three major trials for PTSD and depression. Robust trials for addiction, anxiety, OCD, and other mental health disorders are not far behind. Studies examining neurological disorders such as pain, headaches, and neurodegenerative disorders are also well underway.

Join us at Science, Medicine, and Psychedelics to distill the essential answers, insights, and questions from this year’s crop of scientific data, and to see what tomorrow’s harvest might hold.

Horizons 2026 — Psychedelics in the World

Psychedelics in the World

Dialogues about the political and cultural dimensions of psychedelics in the United States and across the world.

This year’s Executive Order was a landmark in the regulation and perception of psychedelics, following decades of exile and wandering in the desert. New coalitions are emerging to shape psychedelic legitimacy.

Well west of DC, the states of Oregon, Colorado, and New Mexico have rolled their own regulatory systems. Meanwhile, unregulated use and pop culture cachet of psychedelics continues to rise. And beyond recent trends, many traditional societies continue to quietly practice with psychedelics as they have for generations.

Join us at Psychedelics in the World as we survey the American and global psychedelic frontiers, and the unique tapestry of communities that inhabit them.

Giving Opportunities

Horizons offers many opportunities for sponsors and donors who want to contribute and connect.

We can facilitate many modalities of year-round and on-site participation and reciprocity.

This support remains essential as registration revenue alone cannot cover the cost of a world-class conference for this growing and important community.

Rendering of pre-colonial Manhattan island

The indigenous history of New York (and psychedelics)

Psychedelics have been used by indigenous communities for thousands of years in the Americas.

Horizons has been privileged to collaborate with indigenous leaders who have messages to share with the wider psychedelic community. Our native allies have requested that we include land acknowledgements as part of the work of educating our audience about indigenous topics.

Our venues are situated on the Lenape island of Manhahtaan (Mannahatta) in Lenapehoking, the Lenape homeland. We pay respect to Lenape peoples, past, present, and future and their continuing presence in the homeland and throughout the Lenape diaspora. Due to centuries of colonialism perpetuated by genocide, forced displacement, and systemic oppression, today the Lenape Diaspora is dispersed throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Horizons thanks The Lenape Center for the language in the three above paragraphs, and Markley Boyer and The Mannahatta Project for the above rendering of pre-colonial New York.
